Folk music

Audio recordings of the radio shows featuring a wide range of folk performers. Reels include inserts with handwritten notes by Shapiro about the performances and a list of the songs played. The notes and lists may have spelling errors and song titles may have been generated from how the song sounded not the actual title. Some notes also include markings to indicate songs that were particularly notable.

Research material, largely reproductions collected by Sean F. Killeen, documenting the life and career of Huddie William Ledbetter (Lead Belly), including correspondence with Harry Belafonte, Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Burl Ives, Alan Lomax, John Lomax, Odetta, Pete Seeger, and Josh White. Also CD and DVD collections, "The Definitive Leadbelly" and "Leadbelly, Important Recordings 1934-1949".
