The collection has been organized into seven series: Correspondence (1917-1993), Case Files (1932-1970), Research Notes (1932-1987), Reprints (1925-1977), Biography (1959-1986), Miscellaneous (1881-1984), and Photographs (1930-1990).

The collection consists of two series: miscellaneous (1947-1965) and speeches and manuscripts (1948-1963) of Dr. Prout. The collection only provides a small glimpse of Dr. Prout's research interests.

Scope and Contents The papers include material that was created during Dr. Skinner's medical career. The bulk of the material spans the time frame of 1972-2002, during which time Dr. Skinner was Chairman of the Department of Surgery at the University of Chicago in Illinois and later was President and CEO of the New York Hospital in New York, NY. These records contain files related to Dr. Mininberg’s work with the American Austrian Foundation. Two programs were funded by the American Austrian Foundation were Max Kade Fellowships (1996-1999), and the Salzburg Cornell Seminars (1993-1999). The Colleagues in Medicine (1992-1998) international physicians were graduates of the Seminar program. An additional series documents Dr. Mininberg’s research on ancient medicine.
