Notice the insufficient clearance sign at the right side of the photo and also the trees and bushes where the box car is spotted in the upper left center. Shows the West Oakland Diesel Shop. All switches in view are of variable type. Engines are allowed to be either headed or backed out of these tracks. Note sanding and fueling devices at sides and above. Due to clearance and type of switches a safe move there necessitates a man on each side of locomotive cab.
