Scope and Contents

Gelatin silver print. Image depicts the upper village green of Moodus, Conn., with a sign commemorating the Neptune Twine and Cord Mills, and Emory Johnson's home in the background. Johnson was one of the owners of the Neptune Twine and Cord Mills, and operated the company, with his son E. Emory Johnson, for 38 years between 1867 and 1905. Moodus is a village in the town of East Haddam, Conn. See item 8 in this folder for a better view of the house. 25.25 x 20.5 cm.
