Scope and Contents
Images depict the Neptune Twine and Cord Mills in Moodus, Conn., and the "tourist attraction" of Johnsville, built on a site near the mill by Raymond C. Schmitt when he bought the mill in the mid-1960s. The school house, chapel, general store, and livery stable were purchased elsewhere and moved to the site. It did not suceed as a tourist attraction and was closed in 1994.
