Photographs of prize-winning bovines taken by Adrien Tournachon at the 1856 Universal Agricultural Competition of Paris. Printed captions underneath the image include the breed, age, owner, and prize won. Each photograph is stamped with the inscription "Nadar Jeune et cie, 17 Boulevard des Italiens". The publication Les Races Bovines au Concours Universel Agricole de Paris en 1856, included illustrations made from this series of Tournachon's photographs.
