Scope and Contents

The collection consists of two copies of a pass to attend the “Clinical Lectures on Insanity” at Cornell University Medical College (CUMC) between October 1903 and January 1904. Each pass is signed by William Hinz. The pass also served as a steamer ticket to get to the Manhattan State Hospital, East on Ward’s Island, where the clinics given during the course took place.

Biographical / Historical

William Hinz, MD was from New York City and graduated from Cornell University Medical College in 1905. After graduation, he received a hospital appointment at Fordham Hospital in the Bronx, New York.
