Soros Foundations, 2003
Scope and Contents
This series includes both paper and digital files. The paper materials include annual reports, articles, booklets, brochures, correspondence, and minutes. The digital files include various publications about the Seminars, including reports, historical articles, and a video. The 1995-96 report of the American Austrian Foundation is especially useful, providing a comprehensive overview of the program from 1993-96, a list of all seminars 1993-1996, and a commentary on the program by George Soros; this report fills in gaps left by the lack of newsletters published in 1996. “Letters to George” is a compilation of letters from seminar faculty, fellows, and AAF board members, to funder George Soros on the occasion of his 85th birthday; these personal stories from faculty and fellows constitute a testimony on the impact of the program worldwide. The article by Richard Roberts provides historical perspective from his viewpoint as course director of the Infectious Diseases Seminar.
