Scope and Contents
This series contains notes on his research on the artificial heart, implantable cardiac substitute, open surgery, and cardiovascular surgery. It also contains information on the Cardiovascular Surgery Center at the New York Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Nakamara and Dr. Kivelitz research is also mentioned in the files. In addition, correspondence (1930's-1940's) between Charles Lindbergh and Dr. Paulel Flagg regarding Lindbergh's interest in heart research is included.
