Subseries 9A addresses well over one hundred subjects, with emphasis placed on barbiturate, cinchona alkaloid and diuretics studies, heart conditions and heart disease, and the development of experimental drugs. The files within this subseries consist of Gold’s handwritten and typed notes, as well as journal articles, newspaper clippings, brochures and advertisements for new medications, and academic papers.
