Scope and Contents
At the same time as Gold joined the staff of the Hospital for Joint Diseases in 1931, he did so at Beth Israel Hospital as well. The majority of his files reflect his role as the attending-in-charge of the hospital’s Cardiovascular Research Unit. Among the files are cardiac clinic and research unit staff lists, departmental and administrative correspondence, annual reports, and cardiology conference materials. Donation and grant files, medical staff directories and medical board committee notes are also included.
