From the Series:

Gold joined the staff of the Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD) in 1931 and remained an employee for over three decades. This series consists of the materials he accumulated while an HJD physician. The bulk of the files document Gold’s administration of the hospital’s cardiac clinic, the cardiology conferences sponsored by the hospital, and the Medical Advisory Board he chaired.
