Exhibit Q-20 shows a crossing at 7th Street in San Francisco with a train approaching the crossing which is protected only by cross-arms. Because the train approaches on a curve around to the right, only the fireman has a view of approaching traffic and it is he who must give the engineer a warning of any obstacles ahead.
