New Hampshire Division main line is on the left, which divides Yard 9 from Yard 8, making an operation on a huge "U" curve necessary, and where a fireman is a vital no matter which direction a move is made due to curves and congestion and short switch circuits where moves may be brought to a halt by Tower 5.
