Gelatin silver print, ca. 1950. Image depicts police lined up outside entrance to Merrimack Manufacturing Company in Lowell, Mass., during a strike around 1950. The police appear to be keeping the strikers away from a path into the company, which would be used by workers who were not striking; see item 7 in this folder. 35.5 x 28 cm.

Gelatin silver print, ca. 1950. Image depicts police lined up outside entrance to Merrimack Manufacturing Company in Lowell, Mass., during a strike around 1950. The police appear to be keeping a path open for textile workers who were not adhering to the strike; some strikers on the left can be seen yelling; another points from the right. A man stands in the doorway of the Merrimack Woolen Mill on the left photographing the scene. See also item 6 in this folder. 35.5 x 28 cm.
