Scope and Contents Gelatin silver print, [19--; original 1869]. Image depicts the Wool Exchange in San Francisco, Calif., on the NW corner of Sansome (?) St. and Broadway. Building is two story brick, with horse-drawn wagons loaded with bags of wool in front; many more bags of wool are stacked up outside the building. A number of men are standing on the street or sidewalk in front of the building; workers are standing on the bags on the side. Notice on building has date May 23d '69. Possibly printed from a...
