Biographical / Historical
Arbitration hearing before Janes J. Healy, Chairman, John P. Cooney and George E. Byford held April 2, 1948. Issues in the negotiation of a new contract were: 1. Overtime after 8 hours per day; 2. A guarantee of a minimum day for all, including maintenance men; 3. Modification in basis of compensation for split assignments; 4. Union security; 5. Working conditions; 6. Wage increase.
