Biographical / Historical
Leon J. Davis (1906-1992), was a Polish-born U.S. labor leader. In 1932 he founded Local 1199 of the Drug, Hospital and Health Care Employees Union. He was head of the the union for fifty years, building it into a powerful national and progressive force.
