Includes papers, mainly bills, to estate of William Smith for labor, tending [saw] mill, etc., 1789-1800; receipts to John Smith & Peter T. Smith, 1801-1818; and an agreement, 1809, of Robert Karson, James Tatterson and John Smith, that Tatterson, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, build a roving billy, spinning jenny, and reel for Smith's mill in Hightstown, New Jersey. Also two records of dyewood and chemical purchases by Smith & Cook from Smith & Ackerman.
