Scope and Contents

The S. T. Thomas Mill Records is an account book, 1843-1845.of S. T. Thomas, Gray, ME. A wool manufacturer in Cumberland County; mill operated by Thomas and partner Tyng Wilson from 1835-1844. Contains accounts, 1843-1844 of customers for finished cloth (satinets, cassimeres, flannel, blanketing) often in exchange for wool and produce. Also list of consignments (1845) to Ambrose Flint as agent; also accounts for clothing to Charles B. Hull; also accounts for finished woolen goods received from "Factory at Turner".
