Scope and Contents

The Reginald Andrews Papers includes three notebooks, 1917-1919 and 1930-1932, labeled: Picking #1, Picking #2, and Lots picked. Also contains notes, 1925, on wool shrinkages, machinery, tests, etc.; and notes, 1939, on trips Andrews took to other mills. Also includes Andrews's business card from McCard Textile Co., with notes, a price list and correspondence with cloth samples (swatches).

Biographical / Historical

Reginald Andrews emigrated from England and was an overseer at the George E. Kunhardt Corp., woolen and worsted manufacturers in Lawrence, MA. He also worked at McCard Textile Co., Bedford, MA, manufacturers of wool, cotton, rayon and acetate.
