Scope and Contents

The Ralph E. Loper Company Records include reports from the Fall River office of Ralph E. Loper Co. with recommendations and efficiency studies on mill operations. The first report, dated Aug. 6, 1940, was done for Continental Mills, Inc., Lewiston, Maine and outlines current conditions at the plant, recommends economics in manufacturing costs, and advises against liquidation. The second report, dated Nov. 17, 1944, was done for Boott Mills, Lowell, Massachusetts, and includes a proposed schedule of operations and payroll for the warehouse and carding departments based on a tentative post-war production budget. Contains detailed job descriptions.
