The Norvic Company Records includes records of directors and stockholders, 1931-1945, including capital stock accounts, lists of stockholders, and correspondence about dividends and stock certificates; executive correspondence, 1936-1947, mainly concerning taxes, dividends, war contracts and the company's dissolution; tax files, 1932-1946, with inventories; and certificates of condition, 1931-1945. Also includes ledgers, 1931-1945, of general and individual accounts; a cashbook, 1931-1947; and sales books and invoice registers, 1931-1945

Biographical / Historical
Norvic Co., Lowell, MA, incorporated in 1931 under the direction of Ames Stevens, its business was to sell surgical bandages and hospital gowns. It bought from U.S. Bunting Co. and Lawrence Manufacturing Co. The company had two employees and closed in 1945.
