The Lawrence Woolen Company Records incudes a two page letter to Mr. McDuffie from "Alden," Lawrence Woolen Company, September 16, 1946, concerning card clothing, including wire sizes, points per square inch, and things to be specified when ordering non-standard card clothing. Also a handwritten circular from Boston, 1860, signed C.M. Cartwright, Samuel Batchelder & J. Huntington Wolcott, regarding appointment of committee to receive subscriptions for stock in Everett Mills, cotton manufacturers, Lawrence, MA. Also, typescript of report by William J. Kent to the Board of Government of the New England Cotton Manufacturers' Association, 1895, discussing his two-week trip to textile mills in the South, including many comments on the southern operatives, their work ethic and pay.
