Biographical / Historical
Sarah Goldberg Mandell (August 15, 1891-May 5, 1998). According to information found on the Ellis Island website, Sarah Goldberg arrived in the United States on June 16, 1909 at the age of 17 from London, England, her ethnicity was listed as Russia Hebrew.
Sarah was a member of the Knitgoods Workers' Union Local 155, UNITE, she retired in 1957. She passed away in May of 1998 at the age of 104.
