Biographical / Historical
The United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America often referred to as the United Brotherhood of Carpenters was formed in 1881. It has grown to be one of the largest trade unions in the United States, and between its chapters and locals there is international cooperation that poises the brotherhood for a global role. Today the United Brotherhood of Carpenters is considered one of North America's largest building-trades unions, with almost a half-million members in the construction and wood-products industries.
Local 337 is located in Whitesboro, N.Y.
