The lettering on the door in the background reads "Conditioning Testing." Text: "Physical Testing Laboratory. This Laboratory has to be maintained at standard atmospheric condition, namely, 70 [degrees] F, 65% relative humidity. Because of the hygroscopic properties of fibers, humidity has an important effect on weight and strength. In order to enable us to obtain constant results, the testing room has to be air conditioned.
