Item 1532: Handoff in relay race, 1927

Printed in 1974 from glass plate negative no.A1532. August 1927. Image depicts four young men in the middle of a relay race; one (in the center left) has just handed off his baton and another (slightly crouched) is waiting to seize the baton from his partner (in the dark pants). Another runner with #11 on his back is in the left foreground. Spectators line the sidelines and a flagpole can be seen in the middle of the image.
