Item 947: Finish of half-mile race, 1920
Scope and Contents
Printed in 1974 from glass plate negative no.A947. August 1920. Image depicts male runner (on the right) finishing the half-mile race, most likely as part of a "Field Day" organized by the Draper Corporation for Draper Corporation employees. The male runner is just crossing the finish line, while another man can be seen directly behind him. Spectators, both men and women, line the side of the course on the left. The man in the white shirt on the left with his tie tucked in is probably an official of some kind. 25 x 20.25 cm.
