Printed in 1974 from glass plate negative no.A330. 1904-1906. Image depicts Ballou Park, sometimes referred to as Adin Ballou Park, showing flowering trees, rose bushes, park benches, and a bronze statue of Adin Ballou, the founder of the Hopedale Community. The statue was unveiled in October 1900 and is located on the Ballou property; it was the gift of Gen. W. F. Draper. In 1900 the Ballou house was moved from this site and the park established.
