Item 180: View of gambrel-style house on Bancroft Parkway
Scope and Contents
Printed in 1974 from glass plate negative no.A180. 1901-1916. Image depicts a closer view of the house seen on the left in Item 159, in this folder. The house is in the gambrel, or Dutch Colonial, style, and is a two-and-a-half story wood-shingled residence. It is viewed here from the side, with an entrance on the front (left). Shutters are at all the windows. A group of large bushes has been planted between this house and the house barely visible on the right (see Item 159, in this folder,). An electric streetlight is just visible on the left above the unpaved road, which is lined stones to form a curb. These houses were built for Draper Company employees. 25 x 20.25 cm.
