Item 162: Houses on Bancroft Parkway
Scope and Contents
Printed in 1974 from glass plate negative no.A162. 1901-1916. Image depicts three different houses on Bancroft Parkway in Hopedale. All are substantial, wood-shingled, two-and-a-half story residences. The house on the left is in the Dutch Colonial, or gambrel style and has two entrances. The house next to it on the right is a more conventional Colonial in style with two gable windows. The house on the far right has an entrance off a driveway or alley and appears to be quite large. All the houses have shutters at all the windows (some of them are closed). The street is unpaved and the right-hand side of the street is an open field. These houses were built for Draper Company employees. 25 x 20.25 cm.
