Scope and Contents

Negative no.A312. November 16, 1904. Image depicts a three-story wood clapboard building with multiple gables. Stairs on the left lead to an entrance door that is actually on the second floor; a slope in the foreground blocks the view of the first floor somewhat. A flagpole can be seen behind the entrance door, either attached to the roof or in the ground behind the building. The high school was designed by architect George R. Clarke of Boston, Massachusetts, in 1899 and was located near Chapel Street. Original photograph by the Draper Company. 5 x 7 in.
