Negative no.A1024. 1891-1895. Image depicts the spindle & rink factory at center right, showing a complex of three-story brick buildings with three chimneys in a row on the left, behind which is a taller chimney. A covered walkway slopes down on the left to a smaller building on the far left. The view looks north with the river and rural surroundings in background. The spindle factory, built in 1881, was the business known as A.A. Westcott & Sons. It was located in a section of Hopedale known as Spindleville, after the factory.
