Pacific Mills, Lawrence, Mass.: Cotton spinning "doffer" girl. Black and white image of young girl with a bin full of bobbins. As a "doffer," she is responsible for removing "sets of full bobbins from a machine and start[ing] a new set of empty packages." Cotton spinning frames are visible in the background.
