Scope and Contents
Gelatin silver print. Black and white image shows a close-up of the action that takes place within the middle space of a fine roving frame, or speeder. A speeder is "the third machine in a series of roving processes," which includes "reduc[ing] the size of the stock . [making the stock even], and insert[ing] twist in it."
