Black and white image of women working on lacemaking in a classroom setting. Olga Asta & Co. was located on St. Mark's Square in Venice. Burano is an island in the Venetian lagoon, known for its lacemaking. The palace in which the Lace School of Burano operated from 1872 to 1970 is now an officlal Lace Museum.
