Scope and Contents

Black-and-white image depicts Phebe Pinkham Folger weaving tape in her home; tape is a narrow strip of stout cotton, linen, or other textile material used as a flat string for tying purposes, for binding, etc. Caption: "Tape Weaving. The strands of time woven with the threads of life. A tape binding Nantucket's past and present. Capt. John Pitman, age 93, and Phebe Pinkham Folger, age 92, for 68 years his beloved wife."
