Sepia-tone image reproduces painting by French painter Eugene Burgat, "Fileuse de la Haute-Savoie" in the Musee du Luxembourg, Paris. Haute-Savoie (Upper Savoy) is a region in eastern France, bordering both Switzerland and Italy. The image shows a woman feeding raw wool into a spinning wheel operated with a foot pedal. Bobbins and other related items are in the background.
