House and trees in background. Probably in the Aiken, S.C., area. No. 175 of "Characteristic Southern Scenes." Photographed by J. A. Palmer, Aiken, S.C. ca. 1880s. See also Items 37 and 39, in this folder, which show the same house in the background although it is unclear if they were all taken at the same time. 17.75 x 10 cm.
