Scope and Contents
Black- and-white image depicts rows of equipment with operators in the background. In the foreground is a close-up view of a young man drawing the sliver lengthwise through the machine to bring the fibres nearly parallel and carry on the attentuation by which the strand ultimately becomes a thread.
