Scope and Contents

Two Presidents of the United States and two garment workers talk about the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union and unionism. Side 1 includes President Lyndon Johnson when he came to New York City on June 6, 1964 to participate in the 50th anniversary celebration of the Union Health Center and President John Kennedy on May 19, 1962 at the ceremony to dedicate the ILGWU Cooperative Houses. Side 2 includes Pauline Newman and Judy Ackerman speaking at the 32nd Convention of the ILGWU in Miami Beach. Newman addressed the delegates on May 13, 1965 and Ackerman spoke on May 20, 1965.
