Notices from union-shop Atlantic Apparel Contractors Association that the following firms were no longer in business: Anmar, Atlantic Dress Manufacturing (Williamstown, NJ), Beverly Blouse Co., Connie Blouse Co. (Roseto, PA), Debbie Lee’s, Kathy Fashions (Nuremberg, PA), Kelly Sportswear (Mt. Pocono, PA), Mikero Fashions (Bangor, PA? October 21; reinstated October 29), Northampton Fashions, Pennsylvania Garment Co., Iron Head (Coplay, PA); Samco Manufacturing Co (Wind Gap, PA), Sandra Jo Sportswear; Josette Manufacturing Co. (Bethlehem, PA), Mar-Kris Sportswear, All Seasons Sportswear; New Star Sportswear (Edwardsville, PA), ILEX (Myerstown, PA); Lopiano Corporation t/a Quality Manufacturing; H.B.I. Incorporated (Burlington, NJ), Seipstown Manufacturing (Allentown, PA); Nazareth Manufacturing (Nazareth, PA), Gaye Sportswear; Ashland Sportswear, Elisa Styles, In Transit Warehouse Corp., Jans Sportswear Co., Scotty’s Fashions Cutting, inc. (Ideal) (Pen Argyl, PA); that Susan Fashions was dissolving and Alyssa Fashions (Philadelphia) would be takings its place; that Winmar Fashions, Jim Thorpe Casuals, B&R Sportswear (Laureldale, PA), Sparrow Cutting, and Quality Sewing (Brownstown, PA) had resigned from the association; that new firm, Ellajo Corp. (Nuremberg, PA), was joining the association; letter from executive director Arnold Delin asking Mazur to call a meeting of industry leaders to discuss “what is our future, if any?” in light of defeat of override of Textile and Apparel Trade Enforcement Act, position of administration allowing homework, etc., August 22; letter from Delin to Subcommittee on Labor Standards, Committee on Education and Labor, opposing Labor Department relaxation of ban on homework, September 30; letter from Delin re engineering issue, December 22, 1986
