Scope and Contents

Includes records documenting escape of German labor lawyer from Germany in 1933, to Denmark, then to Sweden, then across the Soviet Union, eventually making his way to Manila, where he was trapped by Japanese and U.S. forces. He had contacts with labor union in the U.S., who were finally able to get him to safety in 1945.
