Academy of Management executive officers progress through three offices: Vice President and Program Chair, President-Elect and Coordinator of Professional Divisions, and President. The only contested election is for the position of Vice-President, after which the person elected automatically becomes President-Elect and then, President. Terms begin at the annual meeting in August. The Vice President is responsible for the planning and functioning of the Annual Meeting.
