Scope and Contents

Letters and telegrams written to the Secretary-Treasurer of the International Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers, December, 1933, to January, 1935, concerning union affairs, organizing campaigns, the strike at the Liberty Montana Mines (May- August, 1934), financial matters, and personalities. McLenegan and Robinson seem to have been old friends; the latter's son Reid was financial secretary of Butte Miners No. 1 until his election to the presidency of the International in October of 1934 and several letters mention his activities. 120 pieces
