Bulk dates: 1915-1936

This collection consists of thirteen bound, photocopied volumes produced by the National Railway Labor Conference.

Two volumes contain minutes of meetings from the Board of Arbitration between the Western Railroads and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen.

Nine volumes consist of reports to and from two Director General of Railroads of United States Railroad Administration, W. G. McAdoo and Walker G. Hines. Of interest in these reports are the sections dealing with home front mobilization for World War I, the need to employe women in the railroad industry, and the explicit statement that African-Americans and women receive the same wages as their white male couterparts in W. G. McAdoo's 1918 report to the president. In the reports of Walker G. Hines, there are more in depth statistics regarding the women employed by the railroads during their nationalization during World War I.

Two volumes are indexes of decisions affecting engine and train employees, created by the Bureau of Information of the Eastern Railways.
