Scope and Contents
The campaign to organize Louisiana rice mill workers at Lake Charles and at Crowley continued through the end of the year; see Mitchell's reports to Harry F. Poole (Nov 9) and Patrick Gorman (Nov 27; Dec 11, 14), the correspondence with organizer Gene Collins at Crowley, and the returns of a survey of "seasonal" employees of the Louisiana State Rice Milling Co., filed at the end of December.
