Includes the following typed manuscripts by Pearlman: biography of Thomas Wilson Talbot (1849-1892), founder of the International Association of Machinists (1975); an article on the origin of Labor Day and chronology of events pertaining to Labor Day (1973); and a biographical sketch of Matthew Maguire (1850-1917), credited as the founder of Labor Day (n.d.). Also copies of newspaper and periodical articles and U.S. Department of Labor publications relating to the origins of Labor Day (1891-1971).
