Cornell Employees and Library Employees, 1968-1969

 File — Box: 2, Folder: 1

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Cornell University Union Representation collection, 1967-1972, contains bylaws, constitutions, flyers, correspondence, and notes from the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), Cornell University Libraries Employees Association (CULEA) and the Association of Cornell Employees-Libraries (ACE-Libraries). In particular, the collection focuses on the 1969 National Labor Relations Board hearings regarding representation for Cornell employees. Of particular interest are flyers from Cornell President Dale Corson, the Cornell Personnel Department, and ACE-Libraries encouraging staff to vote “no” on CSEA representation, as well as a flyer from CSEA refuting the University’s messages (Box 1, folder 3). Case exhibit materials from the NLRB hearings are located in box 1, folders 2 and 4, and the reports of the proceedings, including indices of exhibits, can be found in box 2, folder 3.
